May 11, 2023: Pouring the Lower Level Slab

 A gloomy day outside, but we'll be pouring inside.

First the pumper arrives.

Jimbo hooks up the heavy hoses through which the concrete will flow.

Then he lifts the pump high.

The first truck arrives with its load of concrete.

Ready to pour into the hopper, then pump into the house.

The long hose snakes into the farthest reaches.

And concrete begins to flow.

Mucking the concrete.

And smoothing it out.

First with the long tools.

Then on hands and knees with hand trowels.

Using the screed to make the floor level.

Next, the power trowel.

Stein gets his groove in.

Moving the equipment into the next room.
