June 14, 2024: Sidewalk

 Time to replace the sidewalk that was damaged by equipment during construction.

It will take one full truckload -- almost 10 cubic yards.

Stein guides the chute while Nelson and the rest of the crew muck it out.

It's a cool, almost rainy day: perfect for pouring concrete.

Reynar trowels the edges.

Jarle smooths the surface, while Stein works the bullnose.

The cool weather gives plenty of time for the concrete to firm up.

 Jarle uses the fresnel and then a broom for the final finish.

Upstairs, the cleaning crew is starting to remove all the construction dust that has built up over the months.
