1615 Chaps Way in Steamboat Springs

  New supplies delivered. Carpeting for the downstairs bedrooms. Shades for the windows. A basin for the powder room. The under-cabinet lighting is operational in the master bath. And the dogwash is ready. Outside, Kinnickinnic has started the landscaping.

  Nelson touches up around the kitchen hood . Granite countertop in the master bedroom closet. Light fixture in the powder room. Under cabinet lighting in the kitchen. TV in the office. Installing granite on the dogwash.

  Time to replace the sidewalk that was damaged by equipment during construction. It will take one full truckload -- almost 10 cubic yards. Stein guides the chute while Nelson and the rest of the crew muck it out. It's a cool, almost rainy day: perfect for pouring concrete. Reynar trowels the edges. Jarle smooths the surface, while Stein works the bullnose. The cool weather gives plenty of time for the concrete to firm up.  Jarle uses the fresnel and then a broom for the final finish. Upstairs, the cleaning crew is starting to remove all the construction dust that has built up over the months.

  Reynar and Nelson trim out the door to the garage in the mud room. In the master bath,  the electricians work on the under-cabinet lighting and wire the steam shower.

  Front sidewalk is framed for concrete . Nelson and Reynar working to install the door from the mud room to the garage. Improvements in the master bedroom: fan and bedside lights. Wine cooler in the bar.

Some final electrical work.  The outside lights near the firepit. Fixtures over the kitchen island. And over the bar.

  Reynar came back from Austria and starting final painting of the outside railings.

 Your intrepid reporter was gone for a week and returned to find a plethora of installed appliances. In the kitchen, the refrigerator/freezer, the range hood,  and the dishwasher. In the pantry, the icemaker Under the bar, the first kegerator. Washer-dryer units upstairs and in master. Tub in the master. Granite in the master closet,  and for the outdoor kitchen. Dogwash faucet and backsplash.
