May 2, 2023: Prepping the Underground

Time to get ready for pouring the slab.

The piping has to be backfilled with gravel.

 Once the gravel is in place, the elevation has to be fixed.

Stein uses the transit to get the correct height.

The blue line marks the top of slab.

Next is the expansion joint.  The concrete will abut the joint, which needs to be placed level with the top of slab.  Earlen applies glue . . . 

. . . and nails it in place.
