October 24, 2022: Snow and Mud

 

Winter arrived abruptly on Sunday morning, and the snow fell off and on all day, culminating in 10" of fresh snow on the mountain by Monday morning, with less down below.

All that moisture means mud is in the offing.

It looks idyllic, but Bud ordered a load of gravel to keep the trucks from 

churning the dirt to a froth.

Bud has found a few boulders worth setting aside for later.

By the end of the day, there's been real progress.
