October 21, 2022: Excavation

 

First, Brede staked down the soil erosion barriers.

Then Bud filled truckload after truckload.

By the end of the day, the excavation had made real progress.

The trench around the exterior is the depth for the footings.  No need to excavate in the middle; that will be for the slab for the ground floor.
