The new steps down from the Grand Deck are in, and already covered in snow. The day after the holiday, Nelson is busy installing the plywood around and above the fireplace.
The doors have arrived. In the kitchen, the first steps toward the island. And in the Great Room, Tanner lays down protection before beginning the finish carpentry.
Outside, Jaime and Luis put up the wooden siding on the last unfinished pillar. While inside, Stein and Nelson continue to put down the wooden floor in the Great Room and master.

As snow starts to fall, work goes on under cover. In the kitchen, Nelson and Stein have started to lay down the flooring. The stonemasons have moved the protective sheeting to the garage side . . . leaving the stonework complete where they've been.
On a bluebird day, Luis and Jaime start the siding on the garage pillars. Standard-sized pieces are cut to custom size. The widths of the pieces vary, just like on the main siding on the house. Meanwhile, under the plastic sheet, the stonework continues.
30" of fresh, heavy, wet snow gives a great base for the year. But the work goes on. Joel keeps working to get the heating manifold completed. Friday before the storm. Monday after the storm. Outside, Jaime and Luis put the finishing touches on the standing seam roof over the front door. Upstairs, Stein and Nelson have started installing the wooden flooring on the top floor.
