1615 Chaps Way in Steamboat Springs

  With good weather, there's progress moving the framing up higher. The ceiling rafters are in place. Some of the roof trusses go up. The work box on the lifter makes a good platform.

  Daylight Savings Time is here, and it certainly looks like spring has sprung. Working on the interior walls on the main floor. And add another exterior wall section.

  The entry steps are in, which will make it easier to work on the next floor. Mario looks things over, while Nelson glues down the flooring for the landing. Meanwhile, the north face is coming together.

Another nice, sunny day, and it is time for the crew to raise the north wall. Once the wall is framed, the guys hold it up steady. The cross-brace is nailed to the wall, a nd the cleat is nailed to the floor. Mario uses the big level to make sure the wall is square. And the cross-brace is nailed to the cleat. This process has already been completed for the south wall. Everything has to be built according to the plans. Meanwhile, Nelson has been working on the entry stairs.

The new walls have been stood up on the main floor.

 Finally, a sunny day in which to build walls. The frame is laid out on the floor and nailed together. Nelson cuts more boards to size. Already completed walls, with the outer plywood already attached, await their turn to be lifted into position.

As the new month is ushered in with a light snowfall, Mario starts framing the second floor.
